Coincidentally crossing over with our poetry "high tide," we have been watching TED Ed videos. While I wouldn't endorse every single one (I wouldn't let Choclo and Oob randomly select videos from their list) most of them are wonderful! I've put a link in the side bar under "Helpful Home School Sites."
Mostly we have been enjoying the math and science presentations, but some of the English ones are fantastic. See if you can count how many metaphors the narrator uses in the course of explaining metaphors:
