Poem of the Week: St. Patrick's Breastplate

St. Patrick's Breastplate
Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

Wendy,

Earlier today, Gemma-Rose and I were watching a movie about St Patrick. I made a mental note to search for a copy of St Patrick's Breastplate. And here it is! Thank you!

That's wonderful! This is the poetic translation, but a quick search will give you the more literal translation. What was the movie? We love St. Patrick and would like to see it too. Thanks for stopping by!

Wendy,

The movie is called St Patrick - The Irish Legend. It's on Youtube:

I'm not sure it's accurate but it's entertaining. We also watched a 'true story of St Patrick'video to make sure we got the right facts as well as all the 'extras'!
